ROME OF THE POPES: PIAZZAS AND FOUNTAINS

This is a classic 3-hours walk in the heart of the Eternal City. You are going to see Rome´s most famous and beautiful fountains and piazzas, discovering the so called “Rome of the Popes”. Great artists such as Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Caravaggio or Francesco Borromini, worked for the Vatican all along the 1600´s, and created paintings, buildings, churches, sculptures and fountains that even today attract and amaze people from all over the world.
This is the perfect tour to have a general glance of Rome, its city center and its inhabitants, since we will meet them strolling around!
This tour features : the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon*, the Column of Marcus Aurelius, the Italian Parliament, the Italian Senate, Navona Square. A little break for a good coffee or a good ice cream is also possible, since we pass some of Rome´s best bars and ice cream shops.
This is the easiest tour to be customized according to your interests, since I can always arrange the walk according to your interests and needs, so please contact me, and we can add changes on the itinerary!
*= the Pantheon is a Christian Catholic church (“S. Maria ad Martyres”), so sometimes mass is celebrated. During mass, visits are suspended.
